TAKATSUKA HIROMU has been selected as the voice actor for Ruslan, the main character of the animated movie "Stolen Princess: The Princess of Kiew and Ruslan", which will be released in theaters nationwide in the fall of 2023.

This work, produced by Animagrad, a leading animation studio in Eastern Europe, is a fantasy love story depicting the love between Ruslan, an actor who longs for a knight, and Princess Mila, who have different social statuses, and how the two confront an evil wizard. It will be the first Ukrainian animated film to be screened in theaters in Japan.

The main character, Ruslan, played by TAKATSUKA, is a young man who longs to be a knight who protects the country while making a living as an actor who does not fly. One day, he had a fateful encounter with Mira, a princess who escaped from the royal palace, and instantly fell in love with her, but she was taken away in front of Ruslan by the magic of the evil wizard Chernomor. In order to rescue his beloved Mira, Ruslan decides to embark on an adventure to a magical country where dangers lie side by side.

This work is a Ukrainian film to be screened in Japan for the first time. The main character Ruslan, who has the title of a third-rate actor, longs for a knight and clumsily confronts difficulties in order to save his beloved Mira. I think that there were many parts that overlapped with myself, and there were many parts that were played life-size. Since it was my first dubbing challenge, I read the script when I had time, but the more I read it, the more I realized the hidden charms of the characters. I've always wanted to challenge myself to work as a voice actor. I am very happy to be able to realize this in this way. I hope that the appeal of this movie will reach as many people as possible.
